We just returned from taking Blake and his best friend Mason trick-or-treating. It was a pretty mild night so it was nice that the kids didn't have to be bundled up and Peter and I didn't freeze our butts off either.
Blake was Venom (the bad Spiderman) but apparently he lost the mask to it so Kathy (Peter's mom) ran to Target and actually found a Spiderman mask all by itself. So she bought it and took a marker and colored it black! Do whatcha gotta do for the kids, eh? Mason was a red "fire" Ninja. He thought that if you went up to a house and said "Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF!" that the people had to give you money. It was so funny because he would get so bummed when they just gave him candy.
Here is me at 14 weeks, in my festive orange sweater. I still can't believe I am showing as much as I am and it's kind of wierd to adjust to. I have reluctantly moved into elastic band pants and maternity shirts for work. But it is so much more comfortable. On the weekends I still wear my trusty low waist jeans!
Of course, they got oodles of candy and when we got back home they did some trading and had some pumpkin pie and everyone was happy. As Mason said-"It was the best Halloween EVER!!"
I have had two appointments so far and both have gone well. The first was the ultrasound at eight weeks and at the last one we got to hear the heartbeat!
In December, we should be able to find out whether it's a boy or girl. Keep your fingers crossed that the baby cooperates!
Hope everyone had fun taking the kids out tonight, or answering your door to those crazy trick-or-treaters!
